Together Café

A unique Social enterprise & Training Café

Officially opened in Autumn 2022, Together Café is our work experience and social enterprise initiative aimed at providing a support and inclusive workplace training opportunity for our students. We aim to provide top class service and food while cultivating a special and welcoming space for customers, staff and students.

Training Café

Our training café opened at Wanderers Rugby Club in June 2022 and allows students to put their classroom-based learning into practise, developing their culinary and customer-facing skills in a safe and supported environment.

The café was awarded “Café of the Year” by the Irish Independent and is a thriving community café offering a small corporate catering service as well as a venue for catered meetings and workshops.

Diversity & Inclusion training for schools

A visit to our Together Academy is the perfect way to ensure real and meaningful engagement with diversity and inclusion for your organisation or school. Upon arrival at our premises in Wanderer’s rugby club, a member of our management team will meet your group and share our story. Following this short presentation, you will enjoy your drink of choice (coffee, soft drink, hot chocolate) & pastry or sausage roll in the café served by our students. You will see first hand the magic in inclusion and supported employment.

Happy out x Together Academy

Opened in July 2023, Happy Out at the Dun Laoghaire Baths offers the local community a cool, urban and inclusive café staffed by an integrated team from Happy Out and Together Academy graduates.The collaboration between Happy Out Cafe and Together Academy began when Brian Hanratty of Happy Out was inspired by Together Academy’s vision of inclusion and employment for young adults with Down syndrome. Together Café opened in 2022 to rave reviews. At Happy Out Dun Laoghaire Baths, an atmosphere of fun, empathy, and true inclusion will accompany the great food, coffee and wonderful service synonymous with Happy Out and the Together Cafe. This much loved seaside site now has a café as unique as the view.

Let us host your Meeting

We offer our Cafe space as a working lunch-space. Catering & Table Set Up: We can cater for a maximum of 35 people with the table/space available. Tables can be set up in a ‘U’ or rectangle shape.
